Privacy statement

This page lists what HourWarden stores, where, and who can read it.

On your computer

The app reads the window in front of you (its title, program, browser profile and folder) to decide which customer you are working for. That raw activity does not leave your computer. Only the result is stored: the customer, the times and the task you typed, in a database on your own device. You can delete it at any time.

Sync (optional)

With an account on app.hourwarden.com your devices share customers, rules, tasks and hours.

  • The connection is always encrypted (HTTPS).
  • With end-to-end encryption turned on, your data is encrypted on your devices with a key only you have. The server stores it and has no key to read it, so we cannot read it either.
  • The server keeps your account name, a hash of your password, your devices and when they last synced.
  • For security, sign-ins, registrations and newly connected devices are logged with the internet address they came from. These logs are deleted after 30 days.
  • The server is hosted in the European Union.

No tracking

This website and the app use no advertising, no analytics and no third-party trackers.

Your rights

You can remove devices and change your password on your account page. Ask us to remove your account and everything stored with it, and we remove it.
